Torcida Split
[edit]hello!
i reverted year mentioning founding of Torcida Split as it is one of, or even the, oldest organized fans' group in Europe. so i guess notability exists. if not, let me know why please. cheers! West Brom 4ever (talk) 23:54, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
- Generally, events having to do with sports fans groups are not considered globally notable. The events are only notable to the fans or to people in the area where the club exists. You mention that "it is one of, or even the, oldest organized fans' group in Europe" but that claim is not supported by the article. Even if it was the oldest, it would not be globally notable. Also, there is no reference in the article that supports the founding date. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:04, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
I have heard mention that october 28th is national protest day(possibly only in Canada) and am having difficulty finding truth to it, if anyone knows anything or can find anything I'd be interested in seeing it posted on this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ghyslyn (talk • contribs) 17:31, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
This page lists October 28, 1985 as the day Mikhail Gorbachev became the General Secretary of the CPSU, yet Gorbachev's page says that event happened March 11, 1985, just three hours after the death of Konstantin Chernenko. Which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.190.1.102 (talk) 22:52, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Ioannis Metaxas was not the prime minister of greece, but a dictator.that we learn here in greece in school and univercity.it is unbelievable that you present him as a prime minister —Preceding unsigned comment added by Koliri (talk • contribs) 21:37, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

- That is trivial fancruft nonsense. Day articles are about important world events. Jim Michael (talk) 10:35, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
Rule of Male Succession to British Monarchy Is Abolished
[edit]The 500 year old rule of male Succession was formally abolished today. I'm not sure if this is worthy of note, but it is undoubtedly rare any time a 500 year old tradition ends. Jeff Carr (talk) 20:03, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hasn't been abolished yet, merely agreement reached that it will, at some point, happen. - Chrism would like to hear from you 20:10, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
Bowie Kuhn
[edit]Presently, Bowie Kuhn is listed as "American lawyer and businessman". While that may be accurate, he is EASILY best known as the long-time commissioner of Major League Baseball. The description of Mr. Kuhn should probably be updated to include the best known reason for his notability. 209.90.140.72 (talk) 22:25, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
"Jude the Apostle", "Simon the Zealot"
[edit]There are no feasts current in the Roman Catholic Church with these names. On Oct. 28 the RCC celebrates "Sts Simon and Jude". If there are no concerns I will change it to reflect this. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 12:19, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
