poll
[edit]Poll There is a poll in the talk page of Macedonian Slavs article here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll
Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to Macedonian without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story. I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies.Newcomer 11:01, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Important Notice
[edit]You are kind of awesome. Keep it up. -Silence 12:31, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
What a raison has Your "Important Notice"? --Mario todte 14:20, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- No reason, I just felt that you deserve recognition for outstanding achievements. I stumbled upon a few articles you'd helped edit and expand on and was really impressed. I'd love to work with you anytime in the future you want help with copyediting an article; just give me a ring. -Silence 14:23, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Contrapposto
[edit]Hi! I noticed you merged Contrapposto into Classical Contrapost. Thanks! But don't you think it would have been better to do it the other way round? First of all "contrapost" is a very unusual word in English, "contrapposto" is more common. Secondly, the "classical" seems to preclude other forms of contrapposto - as mentioned on the talk page - such as baroque contrapposto. What do you think? David Sneek 18:07, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm still not convinced... First of all, I do not find the word "contrapost" in any English dictionary; do you have a source that says it is correct English? Secondly, as you know, the word "contrapposto" is very often used without the adjective "classical", for example when one speaks of mannerist or baroque artists - contrapposto in the works of Pontormo, contrapposto in Bernini etc. David Sneek 17:11, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
I wasn't trying to insinuate anything about your competence; I was merely tagging the article so that our dedicated copyediting and referencing teams will attempt to make the article fit to stay here, that's all. No offense intended. GlassCobra 11:36, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
