The name of the first prime minister of Iraq is Sayyad Abd ar-Rahman Al-Gillani as mentioned in the book Tazkar-e-Qadriah written by his named " Sayyad Tahir Allauddin Al-Gillani" , the Muslim world Spirtual Leader and the Grandson of SayyadAbd ar-Rahman al-Gillani

Also the name Rashid Ali al-Kaylani should also be corrected, His name is Rashid Ali al-Gillani.

Inconsistency

This article states that Nuri as-Said was Prime Minister of Iraq 8 times, but the Nuri as-Said article has him being Prime Minister 14 times. Which is correct? It would be nice if someone supplied a source for the information, either on this page or on Nuri as-Said. NoIdeaNick 05:01, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

I propose that the content of List of Prime Ministers of Iraq be merged into this article because both the articles are not sufficiently sourced and are rather short. - TheMagnificentist 17:00, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Strongly Oppose. It is a long-lasting custom here on English Wikipedia (and on other parts of the project as well) to keep a list of officeholders and an article about the office itself separate from each other. That is especially true when it comes to lists and articles about heads of states and heads of governments. I'll mention here just some examples (related to heads of governments), because there are literally countless examples —— Prime Minister of the United Kingdom/List of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Prime Minister of France/List of Prime Ministers of France, Prime Minister of Italy/List of Prime Ministers of Italy, etc. If someone needs to see more examples, it is extremely easy to find them all over English Wikipedia... There is absolutely no reason to make an exception about List of Prime Ministers of Iraq and merge it here. Also, it is more than obvious how long is that list (its definitely not "rather short"). --Sundostund (talk) 17:21, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Saddam Hussein?
