Xander
[edit]I don't think that Xander should be included in the list of Watchers. In "The Long Way Home", doesn't Xander explicidly state that he's not a Watcher? I'm not 100% certain though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.129.40.193 (talk) 07:42, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Possible deletion of this article
[edit]The Vampire (Buffyverse) article is currently up for deletion and I fear this one could be next. See the Vampire deletion page to see what I mean. It could be deleted because it's written completely in-universe. I unfortunately don't have time to fix the Watcher article, so I thought I'd point this out, so that someone could fix it before this article gets deleted. • Supāsaru 13:39, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Watchers' Council
[edit]I'm usually in favour of merging articles, but here I don't think it's worked. It looks like what it is - two articles just slammed into one without any care. The topics are also somewhat different. I suggest either resplitting, or copyediting to make a single coherent article. --kingboyk (talk) 17:49, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with resplitting. "Watchers' Council" describes the organization, whereas "Watcher" is about the individual. It doesn't seem practical to copyedit them together. Think outside the box 16:18, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Watcher (Buffyverse).jpg
[edit]Image:Watcher (Buffyverse).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Redirect
[edit]Why does "Shadow Men" redirect here? It ought to redirect to Shadow People. 24.252.195.3 (talk) 03:25, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
- In the series, "Shadow Men" were said to be ancient Watchers. If you feel Shadow Men should redirect Shadow People instead, be bold and change it. Think outside the box 17:07, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
The Slayers are the Council's tools
[edit]The article sais (in section “Watcher's Council”) “Over the years however The Council had become increasingly arrogant and egocentrical, believing themselves to be the supreme authority while the Slayers were just their tools.” This is not true, as the Slayers really were nothing but the Council's tools until Buffy “quit”: The Shadow Men, who later became the Watchers' Council, created the first Slayer, which makes them the supreme authority and the Slayers their tools. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.21.35.224 (talk) 17:42, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Correction of the chart of Watchers
[edit]I don't know how to change it, but I am sure that when Giles was fired as Buffy's Watcher in season 3, Wesley was brought in not only to be Faith's Watcher, but Buffy's as well. If anyone is watching (bad pun, I know) this article, please either respond to this or make the correction that I suggested. 67.184.51.165 (talk) 06:07, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
