I've never heard the word chemics before. It appears to be someone's neologism. According to dictionary.com chemic (as a noun) is an obsolete term for an alchemist (chemics would be its plural). I can't find anything on google that corresponds to their definition. The page should be listed for deletion. Alternately, it could be redirected to chemistry and treated as typo/variant. (BTW although I've studied some chemistry, I am not a chemist). Maximus Rex 23:45, 26 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Unverified images
[edit]Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk, automation script)]] 07:19, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (chemistry). I have now summarized the discussion on that page and added certain points which have been discussed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Chemicals. Any comments, and especially improvements, on the results would be more than welcome. Physchim62 7 July 2005 10:59 (UTC)
Methylaluminoxane
[edit]Hi Iridium. I noticed that way back in August you removed an image I made, , from methylaluminoxane, stating that it is erroneous. Would you be able to tell me what was wrong with it, so I can fix it and reinsert it into the article?
Cheers
Ben 13:24, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, apparently nothing is wrong with that image or this one, because they both represent what we best know about MAO at the current moment. I can't find any sources that say that the depiction as a polymer is incorrect, but I have found a few sources which speculate that the structure is correct. Would you like to explain to us what's wrong with it? Your explanation to Ben confuses me--why can't it form a linear structure? Besides, why would it show up in an article about polymers if it wasn't at least speculated to be one? --M1ss1ontomars2k4 21:50, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

File:Pagodane.png needs authorship information.
[edit]The media file you uploaded as File:Pagodane.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).
If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Iridium77}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
or the {{own}} template..
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:26, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Proposed Image Deletion

Speedy deletion nomination of SyntheticPages
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SyntheticPages, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Widefox (talk) 12:23, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
