Another person of the same name
[edit]The following text was moved from the article.
- Pinky Lee was most noted for his famous phrase: "pinky choudai, pinky choudai" in the Japanese candy market
It may refer to a less famous person of the same name; a Google test on
- "pinky choudai"
produced "hits 1-4 of about 60", all on
- Cafeglobe.com
and in those 4, the longest scraps that looked like they were meant to be interpreted as Roman characters were a few words like "Show Us Yours!", or a date and time.
Perhaps someone can find something fit for an article on this other Pinky Lee; it seems unlikely this is significantly connected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jerzy (talk) 01:41, 27 April 2004 (UTC)
- We do NOT put two people in the same article. Where two people share the same name we create two distinct articles, and the use a disambiguation page. I am about to remove the porn starlet and place her in her own page, and create the disambiguaton page after placing a link to this note on the editor's page who has added her here. I was 11 in 1954 and remember the Pinky Lee TV show very well. Lee had a frenetic, intense, slapstick, low humor style that I and most of my friends found thoroughly annoying. When he collapsed, the rumor was that he had gotten so frenetic and intense that he lost control, went crazy on the air and ended up in a mental hospital. I am amazed to discover that he lived to the 1990's. 68.116.40.228 (talk) 20:13, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I, too, watched every show I could (I watched lots of TV in the 1950s--I tolerated the bad and enjoyed the good). I loved his intro and some of the skits. Although he was a great comic, the skits were very dumbed-down and predictable. At the time I read somewhere that he had died of a heart attack on-camera (believable since George Reeves, who was even more popular, suicided or was killed only several years later). I, too, am relieved to know that he had a long life. David Spector (talk) 02:53, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
I can very clearly remember seeing Pinky Lee's collapse on camera. I distinctly remember that as he was falling his words were " Grab me, grab me quick. " I had always thought it was a heart attack.
any reason why...
