hill committee

All four hill committee articles had redundant and partly incorrect or misleading information. I have created a hill committee article and removed the material not specific to the individual committees from their respective articles. It's actually arguable whether we need separate articles at all, given how similar all four are in structure and function. RadicalSubversiv E

Port management

Quoted in the Washington Times:

"To paraphrase Karl Rove, Democrats and Republicans have fundamentally different views on national security," said Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesman Bill Burton. "For example, Republicans think we should outsource national security to a state used by 9/11 hijackers as an operational and financial base. Democrats think we should not." [1]

If he's a spokesman, then I assume this is an official Democratic Party position.

The Democrats seem to be asserting that letting the UAE buy the port management firm from the British company would outsource national security to the UAE.

Is this common knowledge, or is it a matter of dispute? I seem to recall the White House or the Pentagon saying that the port managament firm is not involved in security at all. There would thus seem to be two opposing views (split along the usual party lines). --Uncle Ed 14:59, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inequity

The DCCC only gives money to candidates if it's pretty certain that they can win. It doesn't give money to candidates whose chances of winning are still at the 'could' level.

How large?

Notoriously missing is information about the size of the organization. It is not even clear whether it is an organization in the sense that you must apply for membership, have to pay memberships dues and can be expelled from it. If membership is clearcut, the number of members (or at least ballpark figure) should be on this page. If the DCCC is in fact an anarchistic conglomerate of people, assembling before each election, than a ball park figure of how many people are involved in the campaign (volunteers) would be appropriate. DCCC article-I believe your description of the DCCC support of Republican candidates during the 2020 election is flawed. You appear to be saying that DCCC supported Republican candidates who SUPPORTED election denial, whereas I think you meant that they supported Rep candidates who spoke out against extremist Republicans who denied the election results.
