Recent changes

[edit]

I have partially reverted recent changes to the article for the following reasons:

  • {{Infobox Chinese}} allows Chinese names in addition to Korean ones.
  • The main book was a textbook of northern Chinese; the other translations are derived works.
  • The two parts of the title have Chinese etymologies, from which the Sino-Korean reading is derived.
  • The reference Wadley (1987) was misrepresented.
  • The original text was written in Chinese; the name Wangjing is explained in a note.
  • The text consists of Chinese characters, not Chinese pronunciations.
  • The Lee Youk-haw reference does not contain the source text it was cited for.
  • "Old Mandarin" only relates to the earliest part of the period covered by these texts.
  • The Lee Yong-gil reference does not appear to say that the former existence of a Japanese translation is disputed.
