Ejaculation
[edit]I don't understand why the only hits for "ejaculation" and "abstinence" in this article are in the Template:Sex at the bottom of the article. Male libido is heavily affected by the time that has passed since the previous ejaculation, correct? --2001:1C06:19CA:D600:7EA8:C71E:2746:5DE0 (talk) 08:50, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- Same goes for sexual desire, by the way. That article doesn't have a single hit for "ejaculation". --2001:1C06:19CA:D600:7EA8:C71E:2746:5DE0 (talk) 16:58, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- And what this person asked way back in 2013. Why do we (including Wikipedia) lack the knowledge of the effect of ejaculation on libido and/or sexual desire? Is it affected by "pressure of fluids" as the editor writes? --2001:1C06:19CA:D600:7EA8:C71E:2746:5DE0 (talk) 18:20, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
Absurd claims about peak of male libido in relation to age
[edit]Ok what kind of serious editor, or cognizant person in general would even for a moment give credence to the clearly incorrect claim that male libido is highest in the “teenage years”?… And then to further claim the even more ridiculous notion that libido/sex drive begins to decline after the age of 15/16? Like you can’t actually be serious right now.. Yes, teenagers are very hormonal and all that, I get it but the statement about subjective/mental sex drive actually peeking during that time in male development is simply outlandish. I’m actually almost impressed by how absurdly inaccurate such statements are. And I almost even just left it up (with the much needed preface) just so other readers can have a good or uncomfortable laugh when reading such spiel. This edit or study or both was clearly either written by a woman or a 15-year-old boy. How could any male wiki contributor who has reached their 20s or knows how to use Google seriously write such a joke of a statement? Maybe someone on SSRIs or just with low testosterone who’s simply projecting and scouring the internet for any source at all to affirm their own problems? Maybe even an exceptionally older male who has memory problems? A college kid who takes too much Adderall and decimated their own testosterone levels? I really can’t be sure. I know this dispute doesn’t have to be brought up on the talk page necessarily, but I just really needed to vent about how over the top that claim was. I can barley even comprehend (besides the limited examples I named) what kind of person would write that or even believe it for half a second regardless of what garbage source it’s published in.
