Broken
[edit]/meta/shortname seems to be broken for Alliance Party of Northern Ireland (see United Kingdom general election, 2005). How the heck does it work?? - I can't see how to fix it. Rd232 12:53, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
Candidate column?
[edit]Surely there should be a column for the number of candidates fielded? Thought I'd ask before implementing as the template seems widely used but it seems like having a football league table without the number of games played. I've also posted this comment on Template talk:Election summary begin MGSpiller (talk) 06:54, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
Hmm, found it: Template:Election Summary Party with Candidates MGSpiller (talk) 21:56, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
plus and minus
[edit]I corrected this in the example:
- right: −2
- wrong: -2
On another matter, what are the pros and cons of writing "±" instead of +/−"? Michael Hardy (talk) 19:26, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
Party name with no link
[edit]In 2007 Middlesbrough Borough Council election there is a party, Middlesbrough Independents, with no article; they existed for less than a year (http://search.electoralcommission.org.uk/English/Registrations/PP611 - possibly formed just for this election) and one of their candidates was elected. This template produces a red link, but it's unlikely that an article should exist - it could be redirected to the election, but the link would still not be useful on the election page. Is there a parameter, or alternative template, that would not produce a link? Peter James (talk) 21:32, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
I've found the template, (Template:Election summary). Would the "party" version be better renamed Template:Election summary with party link, for consistency with Template:Election box candidate with party link no change and similar names? Peter James (talk) 21:42, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
