Zamenhof's nationality
[edit]This page states that Zamenhof, was a Russian born on this date. He was born in Poland although at the time Poland was part of the Russian Empire. Should this be noted on this page, or is the link to the article about Zamenhof which includes this information suficient? Silverclodhopper 04:51, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Silverclodhopper. Generally speaking, the nationality listed with each entry represents the nationality to which that person aligns himself or herself to. I visited Zamenhof's page and could not get a clear idea of which nationality he aligned himself to, but if indeed it was Polish and not Russian, feel free to change it on this page. If this is just a technicality, it could go either way, though I would say to keep it at "Russian" since at the time, Zamehof's place of birth was considered to be Russia.
