[edit]Section 1 and 2 seem to be copied from [1], a paper by Nokia. It's very likely this is copyvio. -- Mark Bergsma 00:06, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
MIDP Tutorial
[edit]Link to be added:
- MIDP 2.0 Tutorial. A compact user-written tutorial which could be handy for new developers.
I don't really understand why it couldn't be included? Should I just copy the information to its own wiki page? I doubt it... Anyway, Veinor, thanks for letting me know at least why it got removed ;-) --SabbeRubbish 22:48, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
What plugin?
- Code can be written in a plain text editor, or you can use a more advanced IDE such as NetBeans or Eclipse (with the appropriate plugins) which has a user interface for graphically laying out any forms you create
I cannot find any such Eclipse plugin - maybe a reference would be nice? Thanks --fanboyuk 08:44, 20 February 2007 (GMT)
External link to Java MIDP device database might be added
[edit]My earlier editing was deleted, but I think an external link to http://www.jbenchmark.com/result.jsp is reasonable to be added to this article because JBenchmark database is the most complete database of Java MIDP devices currenlty on the web. Most developers use it for compatibility and performance checks. Kishonti 21:11, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Noteworthy limitations issues
[edit]I was reading over the Noteworthy Limitations section of the article, and there seem to be a few problems with it. The main one that I saw is that while MIDP doesn't have any sort of functionality for querying key state, neither does desktop Java, and that makes it seem like not such a noteworthy limitation after all. MIDP also allows for rendering custom graphics onto the entire screen (minus the menu bar of the phone, but that isn't a ton of space anyway). These are two noteworthy limitations that I don't think belong there. -- Javawizard (talk) 00:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
URI of enry for MIDP 2.0
[edit]There doesn't seem to be any URI reserved for an entry on MIDP 2.0. Should other pages link to Mobile Information Device Profile 2.0 MIDP 2.0 or Mobile Information Device Profile#2.0? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SvartMan (talk • contribs) 17:18, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
