Whit 108 member it is the largest Provincial Parliament in Canada(Quebec out).

Still in contrast, having the lower proportion of representatives for person. Wherever the British traditional system is not satisfactory any more ,the proportional representation isn’t ether.

This is my first contrib to Wikipedia, so please bear with me. A couple of notes on the term MPP, in relation to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

The term MPP as a titular designation for Members of Provincial Parliament (Legislative Assembly of Ontario) was formally established (by a Resolution of the Legislative Assembly) on April 7, 1938. The exact wording of the Resolution is as follows (from the Journals of the Legislative Assembly for that date):

On motion of Mr. Hunter, seconded by Mr. Miller,

Resolved, That in all matters of address, titular distinction, formal correspondence, official proceedings and all similar matters having to do with and coming under the jurisdiction of the Legislature of Ontario, the members of the Legislative Assembly shall be entitled to the designation "Member of Provincial Parliament" and its abbreviation "M.P.P."

There's a considerable amount of history, not to mention inter-jurisdictional squabbling (welcome to Canada!), behind the evolution of the term MPP. I'd be happy to do some digging if there's any interest out there. Let me know.
