[edit]Whata about Gérard Pruniers "the Rwanda Crisis: History Of a Genocide", could it be included? --81.228.155.24 (talk) 00:08, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
I too am curious why this book has not been included. Cyrusthevyrus (talk) 23:20, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
French-language bibliography
[edit]The bibliography is impressively long, but shouldn't all the French language sources be deleted? And yes, I do realize that this would be all of them as of the moment. BanyanTree 23:55, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)
No, for several reasons. This article is a translation of the French Wikipedia article, which presumably used these references to create these articles. Secondly, references in other languages are always appropriate. Thirdly, there are English-language references. Páll 23:58, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I have begun converting some of the references to MLA bibliography format (English) [format closest to majority of entries listed], but I do not have the time to do the rest of the conversions necessary. The use of capital letters for the last names is not MLA format, but I've left them intact. Most of the bibliography still needs conversion. Words like "et" can be translated into "and" throughout. The format is not currently consistent. Given the subject, APA format is probably preferable (as it is used mostly in an initial section called "references"). But other editors making changes have used a format closer to MLA format. I hope some other scholar(s) well versed in bibliographical formatting will finish the task here. [Another very time-consuming task was converting the external links throughout the text of the article to citations (notes). I did finish that task, but it involved saving multiple edits due to the way the notes do not show up when previewed.] The bibliography currently needs updating as well. I have no objection to some editor(s) converting all of the bibliography to APA Style format, which is most in keeping with its subject. I myself just don't have time to do it. - As the majority of the Bibliography (particularly that copied from the French article by earlier editors) is closer to MLA Style format, I finished the conversion of the full bibliography to MLA Style format, given information provided by previous editors. Some dates, etc. need supplying. The notes in the article are also primarily in MLA Style format (including the external links, as are the external links in the Bibliography). Suggestion to create a section "Primary Sources on the Rwandan Genocide"
[edit]This page should include a section on the different archival collections in relation to the Rwandan genocide:
- International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda Archives hosted by the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals which has an online search engine called JRAD for Judicial Records and Archives Database.
- Gacaca Archives
- Genocide Archive of Rwanda — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hieromnemon (talk • contribs) 08:01, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
